.....you would think the ultimate driving machine would be superior to other driving machines, yet those other un-ultimate driving machines seem to beat the panties off of BMW race cars. No trolls here, just musings over the morning bananna and coffee. I wonder why this is...

Examples?
BMW has been a front runner in ALMS with the Z4 all season...

2010-2011 the only times BMW has won a manufacturers championship in all of ALMS history. perhaps they will be lucky and win for 2013 but given their RWD status quo (which i like) I always find them to be regulated out of real contention. Entering higher powered events, they can do well in some events like the v12 LeMans prototypes they ran for a short while before abandoning that and being mid-front pack in F1. Sedan racing? Porsche seems to beat them regularly. We shall see how their present incarnation of competition works out, but when racing what they build, I just don't see many wins outside of their boosted F1 glory, the occasional 70's touring action and one-make series races. Again, it's just musings over the coffee this morning....i'm about out of coffee. I'll see some light later today I suppose..perhaps I should have asked the post in a question....what am i missing if they are constant champions?
